Mexican councilwoman, Blanca Esthela Álvarez, 51, murdered

The Manzanilla De La Paz councilwoman, state of Jalisco, was found dead inside her car in a lone dirt road on february, friday 13th. All her belongings were with her, informs the state attorney general office.

Authorities determined that she died due to strangulation and it is being investigated as a femicide.

Blanca Esthela Álvarez ran for office as mayor of Manzanilla de la Paz and used to be the administrator of the Mazamitla Community Hospital which has express their condolences along with her party Movimiento Ciudadano de Jalisco.
